Jennifer Lopez Album: “If You Had My Love [US CD]”

This 'If You Had My Love' US Maxi release is very strange. It comes with 5 mixes of 'If You Had My Love' and a rare mix of hit with Marc Anthony, 'No Me Ames' (Spanish track).

The tracks are:

1 If You Had My Love: Radio Edit - Good, but why no album version instead?

2 If You Had My Love: Pablo Flores Mix Edit - Edit version of full club mix.

3 If You Had My Love: Darkchild Mix Edit - Edit version of full club mix.

4 If You Had My Love: Pablo Flores Mix - The Full Club Version. However, do we need another mix of this?! What about Metro?!

5 If You Had My Love: Darkchild Mix - Info on track 4.

6 No Me Ames (with Marc Anthony): Tropical Mix - this mix is very rare and is the best mix of No Me Ames.

So overall the CD is Okay / OK but the mixes for If You Had My Love by Darkchild is dull in some places because of the rap.

i think jennifer lopez is the best in the whole world. i have tried to get on fanatic but no such luck. she is smart, talented, beautiful, kind, and she has a big heart. i would do anything to meet her. i mean anything.she is my role model and i hope to grow up to be exactley like her. oh yeah and her song is the bomb and i repeat it over and over again i think my family is getting tired of it but im not.jennifer lopez has my respect and my love. i love you jennifer lopez! joanna martinez

It was good...lots of different mixes! Her voice isn't as strong as some other singers..but in time that may change! It doesn't make the song suck... The Dark Child Remix is good...her voice is lightly morphed in bits and pieces of the remix (like Cher's song Believe) and has a twinge of raggae in a house beat format. And Pablo Flores Remix is the one featured in her video and her Blockbuster Awards performance in June '99 when she breaks out dancing near the end of the song. She is an excellent dancer! In the video the songs--both the remix and regular version are fused together...but on this cd...they are separated. Overall a great latin remix album....!! Great dance single! Will be the anthem of the summer of '99! Buy it!

I will review just Jennifer's song and not her album. What do I have to say about If You Had My Love? Well...it's just GREAT! It's my absolute favorite song as of now. Some other people don't like this song but I really do. I have to say, though, that I liked Jennifer's old look better than her new one. She looks kind of like an undercooked American, and her hair looks too sticky in the video. For those who don't know, this is part of the song: If you had my love and I gave you all my trust would you comfort me? Tell me baby...And if somehow you knew that your love for me is true would you lie to me? Don't lie...Tell me baby...

This single is a definite yes for all Jennifer Lopez's fans. From the funky, R&B tune "If you had my love to the tropical remix of the soft "No me ames" this single is awesome!
