- oh Jen we're PLAYing it, we're PLAYing it!!
tracklist: radio edit 3:19/ Full Intention mix -radio version 3:18/ Artful Dodger mix -main mix radio 4:39/ Thunderpuss Club mix 8:21/ Love Don't Cost A Thing -main rap #1 featuring Puffy -3:35.
Just like Madonna's "Music", this second track from "J-Lo" was made for the dancefloor; pure pop pleasure with a deep, funky bassline, infectious lyrics and Jennifer's added touch. A sure-fire HIT. The reason to pick this single up is the powerful club makeover by Thunderpuss. Not as noisy, overdone or intense as their other recent mixes (Kina/ Tamia/ Whitney&Debs), Thunderpuss have worked a remix that is just right. It's a total Jen-fest with TP cutting up and playing with the vocals all over; the line "turn the track UP" repeating over and over, pumping up the mix from start to finish. Just fabulous! The Artful Dodger mix is a sparse, effective, 2 Step mix from the UK -using the full vocal over those choppy beats. The Full Intention mix is absolutely glorious; funky, smooth, disco house with the line "I just wanna dance -is that a crime?" starting the action! Turn it up! Turn it up! NB>> For the full extended mix, go for the UK single. The added remix of "Love" is disappointing; slow and not as rich or satisfying as the original version. A quick rap by Puffy sounds dated and silly.
This track is going to be huge. Don't hold back -Just PLAY it!

- I'm still PLAYin' it Jenn >> turn the track UP!!!!!
track list >> PLAY 1. Rui Da Silva Mix >7:19 2. Full Intention Mix >6:26 3. Artful Dodger Mix >4:37 LOVE DON'T COST A THING 4. HQ2 Club Mix >10:56 5. Full Intention Club Mix >7:18
Just when you thought it couldn't get any better ..! Hands in the air please for Columbia Australia! First up on this Brilliant Remix package is the deep, dark, percussive house mix from Rui "Touch me" Da Silva -a Danny Tenaglia-like mix that keeps the vocals way upfront and the dark beats driving underneath =AWESOME! Then straight into the FULL LENGTH, disco romping mix from the Full Intention guys -smooth, gorgeous dancefloor action that kicks in with Jenn's whispered "I just wanna dance, is that a crime?" =SEXY as Hell and sooooooo FABULOUS! LOve it! Everything else here has seen the light of day on other International releases. The Artful Dodger Mix is fine. Hex and Quayle show their dark side for their Club Mix of "Love" whilst Full Intention bring it on for a glorious, piano-driven, silky step back in time. Keep it coming Boys!
For the Genie Dub >> go to Germany. For a Remix of the Year by Thunderpuss >> go to Australia CD1. Seduce a DJ for the killer Dub Mix from Thunderpuss!! And is there really a Mix by Peter Rauhofer?! -I'm on my knees ...!

- 'Play' This--Again and Again
Far better than 'Love Don't Cost A Thing' and the best single she's released since 'Waiting For Tonight', 'Play', for me, is the highlight from her current album J.LO. Very different than anything she's previously done, this is a funk workout of the highest order, and besides the album version, the always reliable Thunderpuss turns in one of their best remixes of late(though a bit on the long side). It's too bad this didn't get the airplay the previous single did--it far outweighs it.

- Not what this song deserves
I really like JLo, I'm a huge fan of hers. I own her debut album, remix album, This is Me..Then and JLo. I also own three of her singles-this, Let's Get Loud and I'm Gonna Be Alright. But I must say that Play- a totally awesome and rockin' song- did not get the remixes it deserved on this CD. As I have the clean version of JLO, the radio edit is new to me, and the fifth track is really good, Love Don't Cost a Thing with Puffy. The only decent remix of "Play" on here-the Full Intention Radio Edit. #3 is a disappointment, and #4, while having a nice beat, is simply too long. All in all, I like this CD, but more stunning remixes could have been featured. My fave remix is the SAck International Remix, which can be found on the album Jo to the LO! the Remixes.

- Jennifer Lopez "Play"
OK this is a good cd the tracks are as fallows:
#1-Play (Radio Edit)[3:18]
#2-Play (Full Intention Mix-Radio Version)[3:18]
#3-Play (The Genie Mix)[7:16]
#4-Play (Artful Dodger Mix-Main Mix Radio)[3:51]
#5-Love Don't Cost A Thing (Main Rap #1 feat. Puffy)[3:34]
ok now track #1 is just as it says it an edit of the album version it just cuts out the profanity part. track #2 is ok it sounds like a "classic-disco" song, ya know, but thats thier sound(its groovey). track #3 the Genie Mix is exactly the same as the "Gene Lefosse Remix" available on the "Ain't It Funny" cd(which is more better than this, i think) but it is still a good nice'n' fast remix. track #4 it has more of a slow hip-hop feel to it but it is still good. track #5 is a good mix but the "RJ Schoolyard Mix" is way better...Overall its an ok cd but I would have rather bought the other two Play singles and the "Aint it Funny" cd.........
