Disco de Jennifer Lopez: “J to Tha L-O!: The Remixes [Edited]”
Descripción (en inglés) :
Personnel includes: Jennifer Lopez, Ja Rule, Anastacia, Fat Joe, P. Diddy, G-Dep, Caddillac Tah, 50 Cent.
Producers include: Richie Jones, Cory Rooney, Rodney Jerkins, Emilo Estefan Jr., Sean "Puffy" Combs.
With its collection of remixed hits, J TO THA L-O! is Jennifer Lopez's bid to establish her place in the world of dance music. Guest shots abound as fellow Bronx native Fat Joe pops up on the chart-topping RJ Schoolyard Mix of "Love Don't Cost A Thing" while P. Diddy and G. Dep sprinkle rhymes over the Tom Tom Club-flavored bleeping of the Bad Boy Remix of "Feelin' So Good." Ja Rule also makes his presence known on the Murder Remix of "I'm Real" before hooking up with Caddilac Tah to transform "Ain't It Funny" into a slower, hip-hop flavored outing.
Elsewhere, a bevy of producers take Lopez into various strains of dance music. Pablo Flores puts a house spin on "Let's Get Loud," Metro's Mark and Jeff Taylor take "I'm Walking On Sunshine" to Ibiza via jacked-up BPM and breezy flamenco guitar, and Hex Hector pumps ambient-flavored beats into a juiced version of "Waiting For Tonight." Co-written by hubby Cris Judd, the ballad "Alive" (from the motion picture ENOUGH) is the only cut that deviates from J TO THAT L-O!'s all-encompassing dance theme.

- J.Lo's remixes top her originals.... unlike most remix CDs.

Jennifer Lopez has done it again with wonderful remixes. Her latin-inspired dance tunes show off her great vocals (as well as her producer's ability to work with a sound board.) Her styles range from hip hip to R&B, and of course her latin roots. This remix album is great for those who love to dance... every song makes you want to get on the dance floor. These remixes bring new (and often better) life to her hit songs, as well as some other songs you wouldn't recognise unless you owned one of her previous CDs. The only real complaint is about her remix of "Play"... I liked the original much better. Although her use of hip-hop in her music shows her "hard lovin' strait thuggin'" style, I can't help but wonder if J.Lo has teamed up with EVERY male hip-hop star on this CD... it seems like every other song has a male rapper "guest star". Maybe I'll count next time I listen... Well, all in all, this CD is a must have on my list.

You may be unable to eject certain copy-protected audio discs, which resemble Compact Discs (CD) but technically are not. Some computers start up to a gray screen after a copy protected disc has been left in the computer.

DISCUSSION

Symptom

1. You insert an audio disc, which is not recognized by the computer.

2. The audio disc will not eject.

3. The computer starts up to a gray screen when the disc is in the optical drive.

Note: Other discs may be affected as well. Apple is aware of record companies, including but not limited to Sony, that use such copy protection in new CD audio releases.

- Very good remix album with the guest appearances on it!

I thought that Jennifer Lopez made a good remix album back in 2002. Although it has songs from 2 albums, it just explodes with energy! I just heard it again on a road trip this past July in MS. There's a street feel in the first few songs, especially with Fat Joe and the few songs she did with Ja Rule. I think she's much better on the Irv Gotti/ Murder Inc. based songs than the others. Ain't It Funny and I'm Real are both hot! I still love the Rodney Jerkins remix of If You Had My Love (I thought that Puffy did it at first), the Mark Taylor/Brian Rawling rumbling remix of Walking on Sunshine, and some others. And Play's telephone sounds ringing in the song match well with the song's funky beats. The final song is nice, a very quiet ballad that Jennifer sounds classy on. This is a very unique album, far different from other remix albums.

- Daughter pleaser par excellence

...From what little I've heard of this album, it sounds to be energetic enough and with the requisite catchy hooks. Jolly good show! A fine chanteuse at the peak of her form.
