- Kylie's SAW Years

This greatest hits set encapsulates Minogue's early hits with Stock/Aitken/Waterman, starting way back when with the now-classic 'I Should Be So Lucky' up through her final record with them, a remake of 'Celebration'(though S/A/W were red-hot in the late '80s, there best work was undoubtedly with Minogue). In between, we get some of Minogue's finest singles, chief among them 'Hand On Your Heart','Better The Devil You Know', 'What Do I Have To Do', and 'Step Back In Time'. As with any artist, we also get some less-than-thrilling moments, those here being 'Tears On My Pillow'(one of her worst records ever) and 'Especially For You'(her sappy duet with "Neighbours" costar Jason Donovan). Still, those two are just small ripples in what is overall a first-rate collection. Those just discovering or rediscovering Kylie should definately check this one out.

- Awesome!!!!!!!

I am an American fan of Kylies, but it has not been until recently that i have been able to find her stuff. I remember hearing in the early ninties what a huge star she was in Europe and Australia and was annoyed that i couldnt get her music here in the states. Since she has a hit on her hands, it is becoming easier to find her music. I got this CD last week and have not stopped listening to it. Wonderful, mindless, fun, fluffy pop songs. America has definitely missed out on the immense talent and artistry of Kylie. I hope she really hits big with "Fever," but it will be kind of bittersweet though since noone is familiar with her past songs. Better late than never though.

- Fantastic....

Kylie is definitely one of the greatest pop divas of the UK in the past decade. Unfortuatelly, she's only been a 'moderate' sensation here in the USA. If you're into the S/A/W production team, you'll love this CD. I give it a very high rating.

- Astoundingly Consistent GH Vehicle

This Greatest Hits package is almost 10 years old & is still a timeless synopsis of the impact Kylie Minogue's music exercised throughout the world from '88-'92 & that's no word of a lie. Hailing from Australia, Kylie's musical career took off with The Locomotion (Top 10 in US, No.1 all over the world) & the world became smitten with this diminutive siren whose music has improved with age, and you can even identify it as you listen to the chronological track-listing which has sold Kylie MILLIONS of records & garnered 20 UK Top 20 Hits by 1992 alone. Many more since then, with Can't Get you Out of My Head, her last single selling 2.5 million to date & going to No.1 in 20 countries. These trax chronicle the Stock Aiken & Waterman years, some of the most important highlights being I Should Be So Lucky, which is quite cringeworthy but a mammoth hit, Especially For You, which spent 9 weeks alone in the UK Top 2 & was a mammoth hit worldwide. The best tracks on the album come in the form of Kylie's mature image, from the timeless Better The Devil You Know (also covered by noe defunct Brit-ABBA type band Steps), the 70s retro of Step Back In Time, the extra mature & catchy What Do I Have To Do & Shocked; then moving on to her Let's Get To It album with another 4 Top 11 singles. Add to that a wonderful rendtion of Celebration & the extra-catchy What Kind of Fool, & you have what is perhaps a legitimately brilliant Greatest Hits. 21 hits crammed onto one meltdown!! Kylie has since moved on & become one of the world's leading superstars - her last 2 albums Light Years & Fever are by far her best & best-selling - & have earned her a greater fanbase transcending several generations of girls, teens & gay men. Many of these songs still fare in her live! shows, demonstrative of the fact that Kylie still loves them, her fans still lap them up & the timelessness of the era that was Kylie. She has now started a brand new era which seems to be even more thrilling & one which even Madonna cannot refrain from acknowledging. She may be small in stature, but Minogue's musical importance is immeasurable. Here you can see why. Check out the bonus Non-Stop Hits cd - makes you smile!

- Kommence your Kylie Kollection here...

Now that Kylie has kracked the US, we Yanks have a lot of katching up to do. Jump start your Kylie krash kourse with this album which kollects 50 of her foundational hits. You don't get the wealth of wonderful mixes but you kan find those later once you've learned the basics and found your own favorites.

Kylie has not sold 30 million CDs and outsold Madonna konsistantly in the British Isles just because little girls and ...boys like her. She's done it because she amazingly sells CDs across all demographics. In her British koncerts, this fan range and follower scope is evident...Katch this girl, she will out-legend Elvis and Edith Piaf. Mark my words.
