- Not your average boy band
I love Westlife and their music never ceases to amaze me! Their songs have a lot of soul to it and every album has a nostalgic feel with a new edge. It's just too bad that they never come to my neck of the woods. I would love to see them perform live!

- Another great Irish boyband!
Westlife is the group everybody is talking about! They have an amazing string of hits and they're worshipped by fans everywhere! This single has all their hits, including a duet with Mariah Carey: a FANTASTIC cover of Shrill Collins' "Against All Odds!" It's so amazing. This CD gets my highest possible reccomendation.

- excellent album
This is one of the best greatest hits I have heard in a really long time. My personal favorite song is Unbreakable. Other songs I really like on the album is How Does It Feel, Against All Odds, and Uptown Girl.

- Worlds Most Glorified Covers Band?
Being a UK citizen i've grown up with the full force and dominance of Westlife - 14 UK no1's and 25 top 10's overall also 3rd most successful act in British singles chart history (on numbers and by no means sales) behind Elvis and The Beatles. I like a lot of others find as great vocalists Shane, Brian and Mark are the group is quite dull and not very charismatic especially when compared to Take That, Blue or Busted.
The main problem is around 70 - 80 per cent of 'their' content released has been cover versions. Also a lot of their songs are ballads and they over the course of 10 years have lacked the diversity many artists undertake especially after 10 years. They have stuck to a winning formula rigidly and a safety net of classic cover songs (Manillow's Mandy/Collins Against All Odds or Joels Uptown Girl/Abba I Have a Dream) just a brief mention of the many covers over the past decade. A lot more the last 5 years than compared with their first 5. The annoying thing is the original songs are easily their best ie Flying Without Wings, Swear It Again, If I Let You Go and What Makes a Man. 8th best selling album of 2002 and 79th in 2008 in the UK.
The group won Best UK and Ireland Act in 2000 at the European Music Awards and Best Pop Act at the first Asian Music Awards in 2002.
Westlife also went on to win Best Pop Act at The Brits (UK Grammys) in 2001 and 2002.
