Daniel Powter Album: “Bad Day [Australia Single]”

To the other reviewers that were shocked. Read the description about this and other CD's. They say CD-Single or Maxi-Single. That means it's usually only a song or two. Usually remixes of the same song. Plus there is usually a list of the songs on the CD in the description. You weren't ripped off. You just didn't take the time to read about what you were buying.

I bought this only for the single song (Bad Day) and have found the entire CD sooooooo good. I will look for him in the future. He is easy to listen to.

Somewhere in the commercial world, Powter's "Bad Day" covered ground, which is how I came to hearing it. If you've not viewed the video n UTube, now's a good time. "Bad Day" is actually a wonderful story of two people who do their mundane jobs, get criticized by their boss after all their hard work, take a lunch, and then get bored and finally taking their creativity out the door and onto a window. Each actually had lunch next to the other without realizing it. As each deface the window with their take of what their day is like, he, thinking one needs an umbrella in the rain, she simply letting it all hang out, and a frown. On the final day, they bump into each other in the rain, he offers a little bit of the umbrella, she somewhat perplexed, and both hail a cab--you know how this ends. Appropriately titled "Bad Day", it's lovely music to smile after you've have such a horrendous uneventful day...I loved it and still listen to it after a hard day's work at the office.

This song has gotten me through a FEW bad days!! I'm so happy to hear a song that reaches out to us ordinary folk with real feelings and bad days!

I saw the music video for this song a few days ago and it was stuck in my head for days! Canadian singer Daniel Powter is definitely talented, and it shows in his first single. I cannot wait for his self-titled album to be released in October so that I can listen to the rest of the songs.
